Here’s a quick way to age an image. Remember, you can adapt it, depending on your own way of working.
1. Open your image. and convert it to black and white. Image > Adjustments > Desaturate.
2. Create a vignette with feathering of about 30px. Select > Inverse.
3. Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast: set to about: brightness: -20 : contrast: -20
4. Filter > Noise > Add noise – amount: 4.8% : distribution:uniform.
5. Select > Deselect.
6. Create a new layer and fill with white. Then, go to Filters > Texture > Grain > Grain Type = Vertical.
7. Change the Layer Mode to Multiply and adjust the opacity to taste.

8. Creating a new adjustment layer on your layers palette > Hue/Saturation.
9: Check the colorize button and add the following values: Hue: 38 Saturation: 22 Lightness: 0
10: Have fun with the dodge and burn tools.
11: An option here is to open a texture image and load onto a new layer, change the mode to multiply.
12: Finally go to Image > Adjustments > Levels and alter the black to your taste.
