Faded Pencil sketch

Here is a nice way to create an interesting look to an image. Here you can make your image appear as if it has transformed from a sketch to an image or vice versa.

1: Duplicate the layer and go to Filter > Artistic > Colored Pencil, add these settings;
Pencil width:15 Stroke Pressure:15 Paper Brightness:50

2: Next, change the blending mode to soft light, use your lasso tool to make a selection where you want the rest of the image to fade into the original.

3: Go to Select > Feather and select a 20px feather cut this section.
