Why have I only just found your site?!? Saw your comment on Char’s blog, followed the link – and I’m glad I did!

Steiner looks great – very stylish, with a slightly Bauhaus look about it… Perfect timing too, as I’ve been trying to find a new typeface for my reboot – I’ll have to see how it looks in place!

I really like what you’ve done with Brian’s theme too by the way! :)

Yes I like Steiner too, it reminds me of a magazine header – can’t remember which one though! A fashion mag I think.
Thanks for the comments about the alterations I’ve applied to Brian’s theme. I love his themes, they’re the best!

Played around last night with some more fonts for my header – but settled for Steiner in the end, which I had a feeling I might!

The only thing that stopped me using one of Brian’s themes for my reboot is that they’re already so widely used! That’s not to say that they’re not good (they certainly are, and your site looks great) – but I just wanted something really different! I settled on Dark in the end – although I’ve changed it massively from the original!

Have you uploaded it yet? Please tell me when you do so that I can see your new header!
I chose Brian’s theme as I knew that it was well designed and wouldn’t let me down, I have altered quite a lot of the css to make it “fit” with my personality. Obviously at the moment I am going through my “pink” phase! I’ve never gone through that one before!
I even bought a bright pink watch recently, infact it’s sitting on my desk as we speak. The strap is very similar to my header graphic. I never realised that I got a subliminal design inspiration!

I’m hoping to have the new design up by Monday morning – I’ve been working on it for three weeks now, so it’s getting close!

I went through a pink phase once – but the police said that it was no excuse for wearing that dress on public transport. ;)

One of the blogs I read daily did an article recently about subliminal inspiration – I can’t find it now of course, but I think it may have been Tara.

Hang on a minute are you in Essex? I was just looking through your sites…. do you run Asetix?
If you are so am I! I’m near Colchester.

  • Paul Enderson said:

Yup – Essex lad born a bred. ;) Astetix is mine too. I’m in Harlow..!

Bizarrely small world, isn’t it? :)

Isn’t it just! I’m originally from Shropshire. I then moved to Colchester, then London to work as an art editor for the BBC and Haymarket. I also designed the very first Big Issue along with a fellow designer. I then met some people at Brixton Academy and off I went to Tollesbury for a long weekend. I never left and have now been here for fourteen years!
    Strange world – lol!

Did a stint in London myself, before moving back to Essex to do the family thing.

Did you get stuck in one of those sudden floods that they keep getting in Tollesbury – is that why you’re still there 14 year later? ;)

I really like the Cicle font, really nice and simple. I love the Dafont site it is so well organised, much better in my opinion than a lot of the commercial font sites.
