Free Lolita Campaign

I helped work on the Free Lolita campaign, gathering people and designing the Free Lolita graphic that was passed from person to person.

Lolita, baptized the world’s “loneliest orca” was taken from her family, who fought the kidnappers to no avail in 1970, and was confined to a small tank at Miami Seaquarium, forced to perform tricks for her survival. Her concrete tank, is the equivalent of a bath tub.

That’s where she spent her last 44 years, used as a cash machine by the people who stole away her life and family.

A worldwide movement has begun to free Lolita to convince her unlawful takers to – at least – give her a dignified retirement by releasing her into the ocean!!

“Forgive us, dear Lolita, for all that we have done to harm you.
There is light in us and we send it out on this night to you,
the ocean, the earth, and all the creatures that inhabit this planet.
May this great force that is within us be strong enough to heal us.
We are all one, the earth, the ocean, everything—every one”
